About Me

My name is Afton Garrison and I am excited about starting my second year as a Kindergarten teacher here at Parmley Elementary school.  The 2017-2018 school year will begin my fourth year teaching Kindergarten.  I earned my bachelor of science degree from Sam Houston State University (Eat 'Em Up Kats!).  My teaching certifications include Generalist EC-6 and Special Education K-12.
I have been happily married for 12 years to my amazing husband Justin, where he is an educator and coach at Willis High School.  We have a wonderful son named Garett, who is in the 6th grade this school year.
I absolutely LOVE teaching Kindergarten and watching each student grow academically throughout the year.  I am very excited to be a part of the Wildkat family and I am looking forward to the 2017-2018 school year.
