Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Check out our Gingerbread Houses...

Who would have thought elementary teachers were such competitors? The staff at Parmley Elementary enjoyed some Christmas fellowship this week. Teams competed for "The Best Gingerbread House"; however, the judges found the decision to be too difficult. Recognition was given for the most creative, most festive, most traditional, most heroic, etc...It was finally decided "Ginger Beach" would win the GRAND PRIZE.

Parmley Elementary is very appreciative of the generosity from the employees at Entergy in The Woodlands. Storybook Character Day-October 31st

Reading is our SUPERPOWER! Parmley students dressed as their favorite children's book character. We had a wide range of characters including Amelia Bedelia, The Grouchy Ladybug, Junie B. Jones, Mrs. Frizzle, and even The Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly. Our parade was a success and we appreciate everyone's participation.

Red Ribbon Week

Parmley students and staff had lots of fun this week learning about making healthy choices to live healthy lives. We started the week by writing goals in order to make our dreams come true...BUILDING OUR FUTURE DRUG FREE! Parmley students also collected water bottles to recylce because we DO NOT WANT TO POLLUTE OUR MINDS WITH DRUGS. We will finish the week saying KA-POW to DRUGS because SuperHeroes have the PARMLEY POWER!

Technology in our classrooms...

Mrs. Schultz, Mr. Stallberg, and our fifth graders have been busy practicing their multiplication and division problems using QR codes and tablets. Students scanned QR codes all over the building to read the math problems. They worked together to solve the problem and moved to the next location using a clue from the QR code. Students have also been using their own devices (BYOD) in the classroom to help master objectives.
